I needed some advice on what or if I should look at a bedside amp. My headphone stockpile consists of

IEMS.

Sony MDR EX1000
Sennheiser IE60
Sennheiser IE8i
UE700s
Beyedynamic 101s

Over the Ears are

Shure 840
Sony MDR R1BT
Sennheiser Momentums
Sennheiser Amperior

and my main music comes from either my Laptop or IPADS/Iphones or Nokia Lumia 920

I had a brainwave that maybe I could have a nice small amp at the side of my bed, that's powered from the mains, that if I plug in the Ipad etc, will add even more fun to my headphone batch.

I don't really fancy any of the really small ones like filo etc, I really wanted something about the size of a VHS case, or around that size.

Don't really wanna break the bank £300 tops.

Anybody advise or should I forget it and stick with just using them as I do.
thanks
Ted

Look into the Maverick Tube Magics D1. I am thinking about getting that for my home setup and running it through my computer to my headphone.  I'm pretty sure that it will power your cans and bring good quality with its built in DAC. its a great starter amp.

I would recommend you get a better source, like an upgraded sound card (unless you feel your laptop is good enough as it is).

let me know what you think,
