those are both mathcore. Noise rock has some elements of that genre, but mathcore is much more constructed and progressive.

Oh heck yes.  I've been listening to noise and noise rock lately, so I definitely wanna watch this thread.
 
Haven't seen Merzbow or Keiji Haino mentioned yet.  Also Melt-Banana.  I think Liars' album Drum's not Dead qualifies.  On the more melodic end of things,  I think Deerhoof and Xiu Xiu are notable for having occasional chaotic/noise elements in their music.
 
I've been snapping up nearly every Boris and Boredoms album I can find lately.

One of my favorite albums is "Happy Days", which is a single 50 minute track of guitar and multitracked hurdy gurdy. It's acoustic drone and doesn't really rock but the noise is overwhelming.
