When setting up my amp/dac in a new room there is a LOUD noise in the final output.

I broke it down to the outlet itself, when my laptop power is connected somewhere, the noise occurs.
But I kind of need power in my laptop when listening to music. How could I solve this problem?

Can I perhaps isolate the laptop power in another extension cord? Or that might change nothing.
Since it's the grounding, do I need some kind of 'clean' power (generator?) device?

Please help! Thanks so much

If there is noise when you connect your laptop, it might be DC offset.
This would fix it
https://emotiva.com/products/accessories/cmx-2

If it is just a ground loop, buy a cheap 99 cent 3 prong to 2 prong adapter & plug it to your power cord

You'll know immediately if it was a ground loop or not.

EDIT

I see you are in Belguim
The Emotvia might not work with 240v.
There is this from kempelektroniks.nl
'POWER DC X-TERMINATOR - DC offset hum transformer noise eliminator
They also sell a cheaper version called the 'DC OFFSET KILLER'.

Hey, thanks for the links. Interesting products,

I'm going to ask a tech friend to take a look. Definitely a ground loop, if we can find a way to get rid of it that'd be great
