I just don't appreciate it when that happens. I'd much prefer a "we don't know" answer to a definate "It will ship Monday" answer, only to have to wait longer.

I'm also getting them because of weird canals.

Sorry you are having trouble too.

I was told on Friday 5th November that my remoulded 2X-S were being shipped back to me that day. When I hadn't received them by the end of last week I contacted Julie again who told me that they weren't being expedited like my original order and that it might take a little longer.

Yesterday (16th November) I received an e-mail from UPS with tracking information. It seems they were only dispatched by Sensaphonics 11 days after I was told they were. A little disappointing, but it'll be nice to have them back. My UE-10 Pro are on their way to UE for bulking up so I am having to use my Sony EX-71 emergency earphones!!

It is nice to have a UK dealer but even if they are a genuine 2X-S, do they actually provide any advantage over dealing with Sensa direct if all they do is ship your impressions to the US on your behalf ? They may just complicate things by being an intermediary and that can often lead to communication muddles and misinterpretation and delay.

Unless they get a trade discount from Sensa I find it difficult to believe that they are Sensa 2X-Ss.

They're not handling this backlog very well then are they? I mean, if you just say "we apologize, we're a bit behind. We'll get to them soon, we promise. We will let you know when they ship." That would be better than "exagerating" when they actually ship.

Just had a £30 quote for the impressions which I will then need to send to Sensa for manufacture. Hopefully get this all sorted in the next two weeks and then I am set.

Just need to sell the E5C and ER4P/S to fund this venture

Wot so you have given up on www.hearinghealthcare.co.uk then ?

I think that Julie is maybe the only one at Sensa who is email-savvy. If she is around she will give a very quick response but everyone else is dire.

The £30 quote was from Ros at Hearing Health Care. She has been very helpful. I did not get any reply from Hearing Protection.

At the final count the cost will be about the same anyway, so I will get the impressions done and send them to Sensa. Hearing Health Care only do the impressions, they do not deal with Sensa on the production of the phones or do the shipping of the moulds.

I would still like to see some examples (pictures) of the solid colors that I could choose from for the earpieces. I was also thinking of the standard 48" cord rather than the bearking cord, but it seems rather short for iPod use with the iPod on my waist belt. Do they do a longer (say 60") solid cord? Is there any benefit to the twisted cord?

Cool. My mistake - I meant Hearing Protection not Hearing Health Care.

I believe Julie and Michael are/were in Japan for a conference. I picked up my 2XS a couple of weeks ago and she said they wouldn't be around a PC for a while. Rest assured the rest of the staff will take care of shipping the products as soon as possible.

plainsong - Congrats. Since I live on the Chicagoland area, I didn't have to wait for shipping! After about 2 weeks I keep finding nuances in my portable rig (iPod/SR71) that I've never heard before. I'm glad I took the plunge.

I should be able to send my moulds off around 2 Dec. I just hope that the Chrismtmas period does not delay things for a few weeks, although I suspect it probably will.

Plainsong, let us know what you think when yours arrive, especially as you have the same amps and some of the same kit as me. Did you order clear or a colour for your Sensas?

Thx.

ER-4P's - earwax problem creates unending flow of filters being sent to me from Etymotic Research

MDR-D22SL's - a lot of creaking noise from the plastic joints

MDR-E888's - not enough isolation, a general complaint with any bud

KSC-35's - a bit too weak in output with MD headphone amps

I like all my headphones but it's so easy to nitpick.

Yes there was/is a trade show in Japan 17th - 19th. Heard from the local office Sensa offering free molds to launch the Japan business at the show. Not a big deal but Sensa does now have in country rep. They do not collect money until your product is here and ready can even test, but means scheduling an appt, cant have em til paid.

Inter BEE - intl broadcast equip exhibition

Wish I had time to pop in.

Finally got a response from these guys. I quote:

"We manufacture the ProPhonic 2X in the UK, Senaphonics is one of our partner companies. Our name for the 2X is the T2XS and it's exactly the same product. The current retail price is £499.00 inc vat."

Seems to be quite a bargain and if they are made in the UK then the wait should be shorter.
