No more smilies for your signature

I notice that smilies have been turned off for signatures... hmm, is this a sign that we are running out of bandwidth here?

The signatures are getting thicker and thicker (mine ain't exactly tiny). I recently saw one that was 11 lines thick. Smilies were becoming more prevalent in signatures. So I turned them off.

Is the sky falling? No. Bandwidth utilization of smilies is quite low.

in that case why not keep them enabled in sigs?

As far as I'm concerned, it's an aesthetic thing. So, everyone, please speak out, yea or nay, if you want to see smilies in signatures.

My position is that smilies in signatures are impressed every time the poster posts, which is sort of smiley overload (to me). But if more of you want it enabled than not, I'll put them back in.

If someone wants to create a poll about this, have at it.

Well, given the fact that my current signature has no smilies, I'm indifferent. I suppose it would be better to have the option than not, though.

I liked the smilie in mine. Now it looks kinda stupid.

So I'd prefer them to be enabled, but it's not the end of the world.

Don't really care, but if I had to vote, I'd probably vote no.
