well if you don't have an amp or a good source.. the HD485's would probably outperform the HD580's lol... someone did a review of the PX100, HD485, and HD580's a few days ago and the HD580's sounded worst than then the PX100 out of an ipod unamped

I'm glad a lot of people were able to jump on this. I ordered mine shipped ground and they should be here next Tuesday or Wednesday... I have been waiting for a deal like this for a long time. I was looking at 880's some time in the future but this was too good to pass up.

i know they had plenty in stock when i called this afternoon. they told me mine will ship on monday, but i just checked email and it says it's been shipped earlier today. this is awesome. i've been hounding the used boards for this phone, so thanks to the original poster (as well as to the posters in the other 580 thread).

Damn, I shoulda bought the HD580's, just ordered my HD555 yesterday, were only $99.95 new
