I know you said headphones but since everyone is saying side grade for anything under $600 did you ever think about a $600 iem? You can keep the 650s like myself but use some nice iems for desk/portable use and get a whole difference experience with your music.
If not I think the Beyerdynamic dt 1990s are amazing and like them more than my 650s but not as enjoyable after an hour or so but can still easily listen to a whole album

Good thinking... I have Shure SE215 for running/gym use, they are more bass oriented IEM's. Maybe SE425's would be a go to option?

The imaging on Sundaras is better than my 650 but not better than 660s in my opinion. What amaze me on sundara is the sepperattion.
