Next Step: Kramer-SC75 or Grado SR-60?

Only wrong way to do it is to break the grills. As long as you don't try to make the holes bigger than they should be and be careful, I'd say it's pretty hard to mess up.

I've never heard the SR-60 but I think that the KSC 75 is the best headphone you can buy for 20$, and I've yet to see anything that can best it.

kind of a bullsh!t answer, but it depends on what sound you like better. If you want a smoother, kind of "sizzle" approach with high and low ends slightly more emphasized, get the koss. If you want more upfront and aggressive midrange, maybe slightly tighter bass, get the grados. I think the grados are probably technically "better" phones WRT fidelity, but that doesn't necessarily mean you will enjoy them more. ksc75s sound great and are a huge bargain, imho.
