Newbie needing help for bassy earphones

I'll haven't sat down and done hard AB comparisons between them yet as I've mostly been burning in my FX500 and CKS70 with the occasional bouts of listening. I'll be doing a more comprehensive comparison between the Turbines, FX500 and CKS70 in a few days and I'll post more then.

I apologize for being vague but I'd like to make sure my opinions are truly accurate before I post more.

Great then, I look forward to it. Although I must say my enthusiasm for other phones has been curbed big time due to the way the FX500 and IE8 synergies with my current portable set up!

I'll also be interested in how deep the bass on those go. When I listen to phones with too much mid bass impact I can't help but crink my nose in disgust now hahaha. The JVC bass is the best I've heard thus far so something with better definition definitely catches my attention or should that be ears.

Agreed about their bass. Truly amazing how low they reach without any of it muddying up the rest of the range.

UE SF5EB are known for deep heavy bass and Sansa Fuze HP output is also very bass heavy.

It's kind of hard to describe my musical preferences but to split it into rough genres: industrial, metal, jazz, bossa nova, trance, house (progressive and normal varieties), drum and bass, jungle, hip-hop (gangsta rap, backpack rap, UK, Japanese and instrumental), electro, nu-skool breaks, techno, grime, shoegaze, indie, dubstep, etc... I mostly find myself listening to dubstep nowadays though.

As for my tastes in SQ, I usually pay attention to the bass, followed by the highs and then mids. The order can change depending on what I'm listening to. I generally prefer headphones or earphones that are on the bassy side though. Since I mostly listen to dubstep nowadays though, gear that provides good bass definition as well as punch is a pretty big factor in my purchasing decisions.

Your preferences sound near identical to mine, I am a bass head through and through! My 4x12" subs which sit in a 9cft box in my boot evidence that lol

Your taste in music is actually more eclectic to me I listen predominantly to Rap/Hip Hop, Indie, Drum and Bass, Dance, Grime, Dubstep (mainly dubstep remixes of existing songs). I also love soulful vocals from R&B et al.

I'm looking forward even more to your review now! Will be incredibly helpful!

Btw, this site is awesome, had some excellent responses for a newbie!
