Hi there, I live in the UK and love my hifi (arcam cd72, a65+, Rotel rp1500 and castle severn 2 speakers). I listen to all sorts of stuff from Maiden and Metallica to Vanessa Mae. I recently treated myself to some Grado SR80i headphones and have modded them accordingly (thnx to this site!) they sound great from the hifi with vinyl sounding excellent in particular.
I am just getting my head around computer audio and am using my acer aspire 5742 to access spotify premium. The sound from my computer is not great and I was wondering if someone could suggest a dac/amp for use with the headphones and possibly connecting to the main hifi amp? My limited knowledge and research has led me to:
Arcam Rpac (bit biased as a lot of my main system is Arcam and I like the sound)
Fiio E10
Behringer UCA202
I know the price varies from £25 - £150 but this is how little I know! Are any of these any good with the Grados or should I look elsewhere? Does the extra money really show serious improvement?
