Its pretty good, but I think there are better headphones out there for the genres you listen to. Also consider the Ultrasone HFI 780's, I completely forgot about them earlier. I think the 2 best for you would definitely be the HFI 780 and the Brainwavz HM5.

What is the difference between the 580, 680, and 780's? They are all close to the same price and they look identical.

HFi580 50 mm driver = the most bassy.
HFi680 40 mm gold plated driver = the most neutral/flat.
HFi780 40 mm gold plated driver = a mix between both. More refined and detailled than HFi580 with a better soudstage, but less punchy.

The 780 has less bass (still plenty) and more focus on Mids and Highs. Thats why they are best for Rock and acoustic/folk. The 680's are more neutral, and the 580's have much more bass.

I really like the brainwavz actually, I saw a video review

and they seem to be well built and comfortable. in another review someone said they were lighter then a senn. 280 so they should be pretty light. What I like the HM5 for over the HFi780, is more of  what I see as a 'design' issue, and that is how they collapse.
Unless someone has another  contender, I am just going to wait for the HM5 to come back in stock on amazon.

THANKS ALOT

just to let you know, the Fischer Audio FA-003 is the same thing as the Brainwavz HM5. The 2 companies have some sort of agreement that I do not know. Someone is selling one here on Head-fi. http://www.head-fi.org/t/587503/fischer-audio-fa-003 Probably better get that, you never know when it will become available on amazon.  Unless you only have enough money on amazon credit.

have you listened to anything in the 300 price range? if you already have the fiio e7 and 9 maybe you should look at getting the m50's, because they sound great off an iPod and sound a bit better with the fiio's.
