New TOL A&K DAP : the AK Ultima SP1000

The players shouldn’t get hot to the touch when using it normally. Meaning a case or without, I wouldn’t advice anyone to cover it up while using either. I get you want to protect your multi Thousand dollar player, but not a good idea. Remember there is an 8 core processor battery etc, it’s going to get warm.
With regards to the sound and I too have own 4 different AK players, I didn’t upgrade to the new SP2000 because it just wasn’t enough of a difference between it and the SP1000 that I currently own and I usually own the latest greatest, diminishing returns here was the right call for me. Lastly the SP1000ss which I currently own isn’t what I call analytical, it has gobs of detail yes, it’s a little more detailed and with a wider of a soundstage then the previous models, but like most have mentioned sound is very subjective to each and the best thing to do if you have a chance is to hear it for your selves.

Jason: I just wanted to follow up and request a check with the development team on the ETA for support of the Open Source xapk files? It seems most of the Services that are supported by the players are now only available in this new file format. Thanks.

I will follow up with our HQ team when they are back in the office next week. Monday is a holiday in Korea, so they will not be in until Tuesday.

@JasonNYC I have this problem with the qobuz app on SP1000M. The problem is the "back floating arrow". There is a bug where even though the back arrow is disabled it appears on side loaded apps like qobuz.
As you cas see I have disabled the back button

But on qobuz the back button appers right on top of "search button" and I cannot use the search button on the qobuz app

A quick fix for the search issue would be to hold the floating back arrow down for two seconds and then drag it to another part of the screen (similar to moving an app on an iphone). Then it would at least allow you to search!

The disabling function is only for the default player app. Other side loaded apps will still have the floating button. You can move the button around on screen as pointed out.

The back button cannot be disabled when using apps as it is a requirement for certain Android apps for a back button to be present. It can be dragged to a different part of the screen so as not to interfere with app usage.
