What do I have to do to get an external usb-stick or usb hdd getting to work via the usb input? I tried serveral usb devices but none works. They 're all connected via an converter (usb A to usb C).
USB C OTG cable is required. I have ifi usb c to usb 3.0 otg cable. After connecting the ext, drive, from the scroll down menu press ext. usb. The new drive will appear in folders section.

For the HD800 you might want to go up to a 404 which gets you a bit more power on the XLR output. Use both the 3.5mm and 2.5mm for ground separation will clean up the background considerably.

The two best sub-$10K amps for the HD800 are IMO the Rudistor 030 and the Mass Kobo 394. Mr. Mass's tuning works really well with the HD800 and classical music.

Wow, thanks will definitely have to check those out. So many audio brands its amazing... appreciate the info!

Also, maybe this is self-promoting a bit shamelessly, but I am selling my Mass Kobo 394 so let me know if you're interested in taking that plunge :)

Sony recommends 200 hrs burn-in for their devices but I am not sure that also applies to SP1000M
About 3 hours into SP1000M listening I am not overly impressed with its sonic performance as compared to SP1000ss.
I could use a little wider sound stage with more airiness as in its big brother at the moment but we shall see..
Found better synergy with fourte than with u18.

I love the Flamenco, it is my favorite IEM for sure. I also prefer the sound w/ switches off but it is a nice option to have.

I use Lionheart and happy w/ that pairing. May will try the Leonidas II at some point later.

So, thxs for your answer, i will try to do the same...

Leonidas II is superb clarity and resolution.

It not touch a signature of original earphone ,but it improve all frequency and keep the original sound. If you lookling for cable upgrade iem with no change signature ,Leonidas II will suited you

It’s can play Tidal Hi-Res on mobile
(Normally Hi-Res available on desktop version only)

But still cannot play offline.

Well with the new firmware (is it out yet for other models ?) I think I have read you'll be able to use the Tidal APK like on the SP1000M so offline Tidal will be easy to achieve :)

It’s an old firmware ,not the new one. I think every one can play hi-res like I can do.

1. AK connect application (White icon)
2. Log in Tidal Hifi member
3. Connect your smartphone with AK
4. Search some track and look the album ,if you found duplicate album. It’s mean one is 16bit/44.1kHz and another is hi-res file

You need to play once and see how AK shown.
On my example above is 16bit and below is 24bit

Good luck bro.

Any idea how it compares to the Horus?
For me Horus is the good one cable. But not my tasted.

I’m hearing bass rumble hit and hard attack on my ears. Mid very clear and bright while Leonidas II more transparent and smoother ,the treble very well sparkle and long decay the last note. Sound stage middle but good enough while Leonidas wider.

Matching ,If you need to push up the bass impact Horus is a perfect choice ,while leonidas II do not harm the original signature of iem.

While SP1000M is still burn-in oven I forced A/B comparison test to a piano instructor and surprisingly the person happens to choose SP1000M over SP1000ss
for articulate bass response ??? although she had a hard time distinguishing the difference between the two in most of the test. With the vast price difference
and form factor as small as this, producing sounds at this level, SP1000M could be noted as another positive development for AK.

I'm almost done with 150hrs of burn in (why not? :D), so early next week will finalize my comparison in a final write up about SPK-M vs SPK-SS. Btw, getting a solid 10hrs of battery life, volume 75/150, SE, playing mix of mp3 and flac files.
