My SP1000 dies in standby/sleep within 24 hours. Is something wrong with my battery? Or is there a setting I'm unaware of?
AUTO POWER OFF is set to 30 minutes.
Screen Timeout is set to 1 minute.
Sleep Timer is set to Always Turn On.

I just picked it up from using it last night. It didn't power down (normally it takes a minute to boot up) and instead the last album I listened to was on the screen after pressing the crown.

Keep patient to charge ut atleast 15 minutes by quick charge or 30 min if use a normal charger.

Then try turning it on again.
Usually if end of battery but not so deep level we can see any envidence of responding when press power button from shutdown stage.
But, if the battery goes so deep it wont show any thing

So I have had the privilege of getting my hands on an SP1000M as a possible replacement for my Hugo 2. . . love it so far, but still letting the honeymoon phase pass before getting a real feel for it. . . I've poured through the forum regarding the MQA compatibility. . . @JasonNYC,

I know the SP1000 has a full decoder. . . does the SP1000M also have a full decoder?

Does this decoding apply to the device when it is being used as a DAC running from Audirvana+?

Yes, all of the AK players that support MQA have a full decoder, including the SP1000M.

Currently, no when using as an USB DAC.

Great synergy of SP1000M with HD660S on 3.5mm jack.Top notch detail and clarity,great treble extension and sparkle up top without any hint of edginess or grain like with lesser sources. Very good detail and subbass extension(as far as HD660S can muster,which is around 40-30HZ),with soundstage width slightly bigger than mojo unbalanced but with much greater depth and placement and an infinitely more natural sound vs mojos digital sound and depth hollowness.

Now the big question is can it drive something like Hifiman Arya at 4.2V which is a big HE1000 driver or we need a high end amp here to get 80-90% performance of the headfone?

It drives my lcd x and clears pretty well especially out of the balanced output.

Thank you for the quick response... now if I understood correctly from all my reading, the only way to “see” the full unfold is by green/blue dots of MQA albums downloaded to the player, not streamed through Tidal. The MQA Tidal tracks, although unfolded to their full “original” nature through the SP1000M’s native app, will only show an “M” indicating it’s a Tidal Master.... did I miss the mark?

Last year, in CES, in the article of the absolute sound reported Astell&Kern announced they would offer firmware upgrade for MQA, which Jason NYC said it was mistake.
But after about a year, SP1000 and new models from Astell&Kern have full decoders for MQA. I'm glad.
I hope some new information will be announced in this year's CES.

Let me check with our team. With the holidays, I haven't had an update in a few weeks. As of the 2nd week of December, it was pretty close. Our dev team made a few changes to the firmware, then it went back to Roon for testing which takes a few weeks. We are on track for early 2019. I should get some updates next week when I am at CES with the team.

Thanks Jason, as long as it's planned, that works for me. In the meantime, I assume once Roon is supported, I'd at least get Roon unfolding MQA as it does today?
