Hi people, i'm new here.. i found this forum really helpful for a lot of my questions but this one was never answered:

Im nowhere near an audiophile, but I have a really weird taste of music...i like to listen to power metal. such as sonata arctica, nightwish etc. BUT. i also like some main stream like Lady Gaga, and JPop.

For the mainstream music it isnt hard to find a suitable headphone/earphone
But when i listen to metal, i do like the speed of metal and like the guitar. however, i also like the feeling of double pedal punching my ears. is any headphones possible of doing this? making the bass drums in metal punchy?

It needs to be portable (slightly, if its not its not too big of a problem). And the noise isolation must be good. Don't like the noise cancelling ones tho :p
I used a sonywalkman with mega bass, and felt that although the bass sounded murderous, it sorta made the music distorted :S
i need help finding a pair of earphones that can meet my requirements above :p it doesnt have to suit my phone or computer or anything.

i dont mind if its big or small. if its earphones i only like in-ear ones.

sorry about my weird likings of music :S

thanks:)

Well, I never heard any Ultrasone before, but the O-Ones share the same S-Logic and shielding but uses different tuned drivers.  But, the O-One have a nice tonal resonance throughout the frequences.  The bass is more punchy than extended, deep and overpowering, IMO.  But, it does hit the low frequencies and has a nice resonance but I don't think they're the best for bass heavy or focused music.  If you like to hear guitar strings, the O-Ones are perfect.

It's okay. You're not weird. You don't have to listen to Stephy if you don't want to.

What are talking about, mate? They stock headphones of all prices if you go to dma-audio or mingo or kingsound or one of the other specialist shops.

hey one quick question
does all the better (note the use of better, not best) sounding headphones need an amp and cables?
which one sounds the best without them. doesnt matter if they arent suited for outside use. just want ones that sound excellent on a phone.
