New tips for Phonaks Audeo PFE, please help!

Hello everyone!
 
I received 2 days ago my new phonaks PFE i bought after reading lot of reviews and posts here on head-fi. But now here is THE problem:
 
I'm used to wear silicon tips (i had crossroads mylarone XB with shure silicon tips till 2 days ago) but the one i got with PFE are not comfortable to me, but i have no doubts they are high quality as they are thick as i usually like them to be.
 
I know the argument is an old one but i new some advices! I tried the comply tips and i felt in love with them, they're very comfortable but i read they they need to be replaced very soon if everyday use, so i don't know if i have to stick with silicon tips.
 
So the questions are:
 
Should I get sony hybrids? Are they THAT different from usual silicon tips?
Talking about foam: Should i get shure olives or comply? Any other available)

The real Sony hybrid is a little loose with the PFE, the clone one on eBay is actually more secure. However, If you should just stick to foam if you find it comfortable. Olive should fit PFE without any modification, and it will last a very long time. Comply will be more comfortable though.

Can please someone tell me which is the place to buy the cheapest Olives? I'm having a look at ebay but size is bugging me...Are Olives like Comply or smaller/bigger?

The mid size olive is about the regular / mid size Comply. That's the size that works for most people.

Cheers! I spent the whole night yesterday to find a cheap set end i ended up buying the on USA ebay, seller already shipped so the wait has begun

 
I must say that Comply are just WOW, it really feels like wearing nothing and it's all about the music. They also helped attenuating the highs so now the PFE sounds nicer to me

I have a similar problem with Audeo Perfect Bass stock silicone tips. All of the sizes don't give me a good seal and aren't secure especially in left ear. I tried medium silicone tips which serve me well on Shure E3 but on Audeos, probably due to the different insertion angle, same tips fall off. Compared to Shures Audeos by design don't allow for the tip to go as deep into the ear canal.

So it's obvious I need some longer tips. Putting foamies aside what double or triple flange tips will fit Audeos and will you recommend it?

Etymotic bi-flange for ER6 (not 6i) will fit PFE, but they are just as shallow as the stock tip so it probably won't work for you. If you need a deep inserting eartip, either Shure or Etymotic tri-flanges is probably what you want. Both should fit PFE just fine and you can trim stem to whatever length you want.

Just an update. Got Shure Olives and finally that's what makes PFE usable for me.

Foam tips are expensive to keep replacing. Is their another kind that will fit the Phonaks?

Look, don't fret. I'm sure these problems are specific to my particular damn ears. Each person have their own ear geometry. There are tons of people who swear by Phonaks and get excellent fit, just check long running appreciation thread here on Head-fi. Phonak is famous in Europe for making hearing aids, they should know a thing or two about making comfortable well fitting stuff into ears of most people. 
 
Now to answer your question. Most Shure or Etymotic sleeves (at least for older models of both) I tried fit Phonaks fine.

I tried similar Shure tri-flanges. If you stick them on Phonaks as-is shells stick out of the ears since stems on Shure tr-flanges are quite long. The trick is to cut off stems protruding from the sleeves.  After that tri-flanges insert very deep and secure and compared to Olives are easy to insert and allow to run the phones more efficient on lower volume. There are tradeoffs compared  to Olives - as expected tri-flanges feel less comfortable and they slightly veil highs and mids already somewhat rolled off by green filters on Perfect Bass.  Still sound is excellent for the price. I personally settled on Olives mostly because of comfort but I'd be happy with tri-flanges as well.
 
Btw, I dunno what kind of music you are listening to and on what DAP. But for rock, metal and jazz on iPhone4 I switch EQ off completely which with Shure E3 and even UE 5Pro IEMs I had normally on Rock. In my opinion  for these types of music Phonaks on iPhone4 EQ is counterproductive - without it phones already have a pretty strong but well defined and textured bass and reasonable mids and highs. Even more importantly with green filters Phonaks are already rather inefficient and on certain recordings require to almost max the volume. Since EQ robs efficiency even more, switching it off makes the phones louder.

In ljokerl's review thread I read that he liked the Jays sillicon tips, does all the Jays tips fit the PFE?
Anyone familiar with the foam tips of Jays?

Any JAYS eartips that fit the q-JAYS will fit Phonak as well.
