No idea what that's showing

Looks as nonsense to me as the one I helped Atomic do via his mic/headset single port

Looks like a noise sweep, that line should be thinner. I don't think you have it hooked up right. Do you have line in? Because that looks like when I tried a scan and it didn't recognize my walkman.

Nothing like the proper line out (line-in?) sweeps

I will get to the bottom of it

That's what I was confident about and then confirmed with the line-in. If it sounds right to you after years of using DAP/DAC's then it likely is.

Probably down to router settings. I had it on both of mine.

I have I high-end ASUS WiFi6 jobbie at home and and work, industrial Meraki multi-point WiFi6 hubs. Not looked to see if jumping onto 2.4 or 5 bandwidths.

I've uninstalled Amazon Music now as not renewing my annual sub again in a couple of weeks, I'm happy enough with Spotify for discovering Music then buying what you really like in best quality. I was hoping Spotify had gone to lossless FLAC by now but that has gone quiet.

Note Walkman seems to max out at WiFi5

I think these combined mic/headset ports (like on Atomic's SurfacePro6) aren't ideal or need different setting. It was so straightforward using a Desktops line-in on its sound card.

The SoC in the new Sony Walkmans support Wifi6. I wonder why Sony did not implement it. Not that it matters for a DAP, but just wondering.

Sony don't include the Burn in warning like they do on their higher end DAP's. Saying that, the hiss I noticed with my SE846's with A307 out the box is hardly there at all +40hrs in.

It shouldn't but I think mine has settled down after some hours. Doesn't seem as sharp. Could be just getting used to it, who knows?

I agree, think it settles down somewhat as you say, slightly less bright and the more noticeable SE846 amp hiss has diminished to near nothing. Still no regrets replacing my 1AM2 with it for my needs with easy drive IEM's
