Hi! I'm wondering if anyone can provide feedback on the build quality of the NW-A306, especially the jack and the buttons. I had the NW-A105 for a while, and my biggest complaints were 1) the shaky, loose jack, and 2) the forward/pause/rewind buttons very often being unresponsive or laggy. I sent the unit for repair and this improved for a while, but soon came back.
I'm wondering if this is the same with the NW-A306? Thank you!
My jack is solid and the buttons are responsive. I use the Walkman app for local, and Apple Music, mainly offline. I love the sound, size, weight, and battery life. I think I'm becoming a Sony fanboy!
About 55 on the volume in quiet areas (low ohms 7.2) I think this is why I have to bring the volume up. Haven't done anything other than work, so not sure what a flight will need.
I just can't believe how much of an improvement these are compared to the T4
Used when writing documents for work, mowing the lawn on a tractor, traveling, relaxing, housework, walking
Battery still gives me about 15+ hours if I had to guess
Typically leave it in standby mode
Music genres: Rock, metal, electronic, ambient, alternative, doom, indie, some hip-hop
It's been a while.
I have started to get a warning message of low internal space.
All my files are stored on an SD, but having looked, it says there is around 16GB of internal storage and I have around 2.8GB left.
It is saying I need 4GB
The Android folder has around 9GB, but I can't see where the other 7GB is taken, as none of the folder have much or nothing in them.
Any ideas?
Apologies if this is covered elsewhere in this mammoth thread.
Still loving the Walkman, just concerned about this space as I travel all the time.
Cheers.

Some of the streaming services (particularly Amazon Music) cache streaming files in local storage that takes up a lot of space. Look in the app for a clear music cache setting. Some of the apps will let you use your sd card, again look in the particular app settings.

There is clearly one thing I do not understand about Android Walkmans since they do not have Bluetooth receiver function anymore. If you want to stream music you still need data and to have that data while you are outside you would need your phone to act like a hotspot. Hotspot on the phone and wifi on the walkman drain more battery than 4G and Bluetooth like it was on A55.
Now the only advantage I can think of is that you can now use your wireless headphones on a walkman while streaming off your phone's hotspot while on BT receiver function you only could have used wired. But still if you have LDAC phone I don't see a reason to use LDAC headphones with the walkman.
I am trying to connect the player to my phone hotspot for streaming but the NW-306 does not see it. It should be mobile data, but not wifi. Is there a fix to it?
