What kind of headphones do kids want? Audio specialist Sennheiser got together with market researchers and teenagers to find out what today´s kids are really looking for.

Uh oh... Looks like Senn is going for bloated car subwoofer bass & extreme volume

Not the HD-700, but interesting nonetheless. Are these intended to replace the PX-100 and all the other portable Senns?

Maybe Sennheiser is "refreshing" their product line this year. Maybe, just maybe, this is a sign they're getting ready to introduce a new audiophile line. Tyll (of HeadRoom) certainly hinted at that not so long ago.

this is what i was afraid of....sennheiser wanting to become huge so they start to tailor for the lowest common denominator

Yea, Sennheiser has clearly decided to put their growth/stocks ahead of their audiophile pride. But, who knows... they may be KSC75 killers. and the start of a revolution.... or the start of the end for sennheiser. lets wait till the reviews to come out.

They keep too quiet: i keep asking and they keep telling me that the HD650 is their flagship and they have no plans to replace/upgrade on it.

None of those are "headphones".

I agree with what a lot of people have been saying... I've been seeing a lot more Sennheiser products since I got my HD 570s over 3 eyars ago...

They are probably making a killing off of replacement earbuds etc. moreso than off of their flagship models because Joe Consumer doesn't even look at the flagship models haha.

I hope these are decent products and not cheaply made, overpriced headphones with the Sennheisr name attached.

They are trying to tap every market they can. I mean heck they came out with IEMs... (well partial IEMS I guess?. I havn't seen/tried them but they are trying).

I'll pobably stick to IEMs for the forseeable future so these products really don't interest me too much to be honest. After getting my E2Cs I can hardly enjoy my music in public anymore... Isolation is the way to go for portable headphones.

Uh Oh. Looks like Sennheiser finally figured out that sound quality doesn't sell headphones to kids, but cool looks, low prices, and big boom boom bass does. Maybe the HD500's sales had something to do with this? In any case, as long as this doesn't affect Senn's performance in the high end, then it doesn't really matter. I mean, Sony releases a lot of consumer garbage but much of their high-end stuff is still quite solid.
