Happy Independence Day!

New Teflon tube adapters 6DE7->6SN7 for WA6 and 6DE7->6EM7 for WA6 and WA6-SE are available for order.

The 6EM7 (aka 6EA7) is the ultimate driver/power tube for the WA6-SE. It has great extension and excellent clarity on all frequency range. You will hear each note with breathing air around it. The sound is smooth and well balanced.

This tube is the same family as the 6FD7 with different packaging and slightly different internal construction.

The 6SN7 is a well known driver tube for many applications. It can also serves as a substitute for 6DE7. This tube can be used on the WA6 only and it is not compatible to the WA6-SE.

* High grade Teflon material
* 6-contact tube pin receptacles
* Gold plated receptacles and pins
* Anti-slippery gripping ring

Another closer look at the adapter.

From left to right: 7N7, 6SN7, and 6EM7.

The 6EM7 is taller than the 6SN7.

Pricing:
6DE7->6SN7 and 6DE7->6EW7 Teflon adapters: $80 per pair.
GE 6SN7GT matched pair tubes: $70 per pair
6EM7 matched pair tubes: $30 per pair

Order:
Available in the WA6 and the WA6-SE pages.

September 9, 2011. Newly added.

Introducing the 6SN7 - > 6F8G Teflon adapters. The 6F8G is one of the premium tubes in the 6SN7 family. It is an excellent alternative to many of the highly regarded 6SN7.

The 6F8G can be used on the WA22, the WA5-LE, and the WA5.

It is constructed with the same highly quality materials as the other models. This adapter has an external grid wire that connects to the top of the tube.

6F8G installed.

The cost is $45/ea plus shipping.

Nice indeed! Is the diameter of the 9-to-8 (6DE7 -> 6SN7) adapter able to fit in an older WA6?

Subscribed! This may just be the first upgrade that I make to my new WA6 w/PDPS and Sophia Princess. I wonder if there is any advantage waiting for the 6DE7 -> 6SN7 adapter, vs the currently available 6DE7 -> 7N7 one. I am a relative tube novice, so any advice would be appreciated. (I wouldn't want to miss out on Woo's current generous introductory offer if it were the best option.) What subjective leap in sonics can be expected going to the 7N7 from a set of 6DE7 (or 'upgraded' 6DR7) driver tubes?
