thank you for your opinion, I'll try to find some informations about the DT770 '05 version.
I don't know the differences between DT880 and DT770 '05...
except the price

The DT-880 version '05 is more expensive and has a semi-open design, it has similar drivers to the DT-770 but it's semi-open architecture offers better mids and highs. The DT-880 is overall better than the DT-770 but exceeds your budget limitation.

I've lived in Paris for years, Magma is a good shop for customer service but damn too expensive.

I buy my headphones directly in germany through Thomann cyberstore , you cannot get better prices on the internet from an european store. i know some french "audiophiles" who also praise this particular german shop.

EX: AKG K701

Magma --> 329€

Thomann --> 211€

They give you 3 years warranty and payment can me made on delivery..
I also made use of Thomann's after sell service, which is excellent. i had to return my AKG K701 twice , the first time it was repaired and sent back in 5 days (including my shipment) and the second time they changed the headphone for another brand and refunded BOTH of my shippements. It cost me nothing, better, since the DT-880 was cheaper than the K701, Thomann refunded me the difference.

i don't work at thomann, but they made me a very happy customer by simply giving more than is asked for.

Don't forget to add 25% tax if it is shipped from outside europe...

by the way, the best way to get the 600ohms version of DT-770, DT-880 and DT-990 is directly at beyer dynamic through their manufaktur site, where you can customize you headphone at will...

Just a note, if you go with Grado, it is not very comfortable with glasses for more then 1 hour - 1h30. Hope you find something you will like !

How would you grade your grado's comfort compared to your Akg K601 or Denon ??

oh yes! look at HCFR, or run some searches here.

the 770/250Ω was nice, but the trebles were harsh and agressive...the 770/600Ω is out of this world, ask Skylab

you can ask the ebay seller to write a bogus value like $50 on the customs declaration

On second tought the beyerd dynamic DT-770 version 2005 at 195€ exceeds your budget by 50€.

Thomann sells the AKG K601 for 155 € and The Audio Technica ATH-AD700 for 144€.
30 days satisfied or refund + 3 years warranty. You'll have a hard time finding better prices in europe.

AKG K-601 - Cyberstore International Français

AUDIO TECHNICA ATH-AD700 - Cyberstore International Français

If you want better build quality i'd go for the DT-770 version 2005 at 195€, the DT-770 600 ohms (without customization) cost 230€ at beyer manufaktur.

That is if the seller agrees to do it and if customs clear your package without opening it.. if they open it and find the real invoice you're in "it" for fraud my friend. Who do you think will be responsible in the eyes of french customs ? i doubt it will be the seller since oversea and "untouchable" by french law.
