Hmm to get this to go with my Focal Utopia...It would be my first tube amp. Thoughts?

Mildly amusing: McIntosh's own site for the MHA200 says "A custom, high-performance, and highly efficient toroidal power transformer with low mechanical hum and a low magnetic field, which helps reduce electrical noise, provides clean power to the amplifier" (emphasis mine). So they either stuck a toroidal transformer inside the third rectangular transformer covering on the top, or it's empty and the actual toroid is on the bottom. Presumably they just wanted to stick with the classic Mc triple-rectangular-transformer-on-top look.

I am using Utopia with ALO Studio-Six tubes amp.
To me, the above tube amp mentioned is perfect matched to Utopia already.
If you don't have tube amp yet then the McIntosh MHA200 could be your match.
I already put a lot of money upgrading the tubes for the ALO already.

It's beautiful, I'll give you that. And I like the features and was tempted for a moment.

But I find it hard to believe it will beat my Quad PA-1 + in the sound department. Maybe I'll try one someday and find out.

@TSAVJason - How can I decide if I want to preorder, when there is no price listed anywhere for this?

Can you provide that please?

Thank you

It's $2500. Can't wait for some listening impressions. Especially with some HD800S's!

I have already but no problem. It’s $2500 and I believe it qualifies for PayPal financing for those that care to use it. I’m not 100% sure on the financing. But if anyone wants to go that rout Wayne at our offices should know

If you did, I must have missed it. Sorry, and thank you
