Has anyone had the chance of testing this new, 2-channel only high end Marantz player? On the paper, it looks quite impressive. I would like to know especially how it compares with my SA-17S1.

The German Stereoplay magazine is about to test it. The results will be published in the December issue -- expected in 3-4 weeks. And they probably will compare it to the SA-17S1. I'm a bit interested in this player myself.

Too "bad" that I got my SA-17S1 about a month ago, not knowing that this model was to be launched. It looks (and I'm sure it sounds too) quite impressive...
"Bad"...not really: I'm very happy with my player. I use it 99.9% with my Senns HD650, thus no multichannel at the moment. But in the future...who knows? At least, I'm ready...
