Feb 20, 2025 at 1:02 AM Post #46 of 65
Hi. I’d like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response. It seems that we may have missed some information, as this is the first time I’m seeing your inquiry regarding the battery life of the M18i. Thank you for reaching out again.

Regarding your concerns, the battery performance of the M18i can vary depending on the Bluetooth mode being used. The device supports different modes, and these can impact battery life differently. However, we understand that battery life is an important consideration, and we are actively looking into possible firmware optimizations to improve efficiency and extend battery performance.

Since you purchased directly from our website, if you are not satisfied with the performance of your M18i, please contact our customer support team directly for assistance with the return process.

Thank you for your patience, and we appreciate your feedback.

Best regards,
Questyle Team
Thank you for your response. I have been using LDAC on low gain for audio quality considerations. Do other modes provide better battery life with somewhat comparable sound quality?

Any estimate on when firmware optimizations may be available?

Would it be possible to change the volume increment from 60 to 100 steps?
Hi there,

Thanks for your suggestion! I’ve passed it along to our tech team to see if it’s possible to adjust the volume steps from 60 to 100. I’ll keep you posted as soon as I have an update.

We really appreciate your feedback!

Very nice. Also there seems to be a bug when plugging the DAC in to charge before turning it on. It will be stuck with the charging indicator on and you have to let it reset from inactivity before you can turn it off.

@Questyle could you please ask the team if it would be possible to hard set your choice of codec so that it automatically chooses that codec upon startup? I like to use LDAC, but have to go into my phones Developer Options every time it connects to have my phone reset the connection.

Also, are you planning to release an app for firmware updates, codec control, etc?

Hi,

Regarding the Bluetooth codec mode, our software gives priority to LDAC, though it ultimately depends on the Bluetooth module of the smartphone.

The Bluetooth feature is really just an extra benefit for users. To keep things portable, we went with a smaller battery and dedicated one USB port just for charging.

I totally understand that for frequent flyers like you, using a power bank might not always be the most convenient. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused!

As for the app to manage firmware updates and codec control, we don't have one at the moment, but feel free to check our official website at www.questyle.com to stay up to date on firmware releases.

Would it be possible when going into new Firmware to make the Multifunction Switch assignable to functions like muting and switching between units.
