Hey guys, I'm pretty new to this world and I have a question if you don't mind, I just bought a pair of IEMs, (first first one for that matter) RHA MA750, and I'm going to use them with my HTC one M8, my question is, do I need a DAC and/or portable AMP to drive those IEMS properly? Thanks

The M8 has more than enough power to drive the RHA MA750 properly, my friend has just purchased the M8 and he use a Koss Porta Pro (60 ohms), the sound is WOW !!!

The M8 headphone output voltage is rated at 1.28 V , an iphone 5s is at 1.0 V, most headphones of up to 80 ohms sounded perfectly loud and clear on my 5S

The HTC one is lacking depth which project era adds. Also adds custom Viper4android settings. V4a is to processed I agree which is why the only thing I use is the gain on slight and that's it. Also the xvolume module in xposed to get that pinpoint volume I use the 30 step. Otherwise the audio quality is quite good after that I've really come to enjoy it.

I don't want to root my M8. I think you guys can tinker and tweak too much sometimes, and things get ruined or you lose the wood for the trees. No, the M8 sounds great to me.

i think it would be helpful for other parties if you at least advised if that is positive or negative to you, as could easily be taken either way: )

Hello,

Was wondering if anyone could compare the m8 to the sony s639, including things such as the bass boost and EQ abilities!

Not sure. According to a chinese site, its around 9 ohm: http://www.hk-android.info/archives/78928/%E5%85%A8%E6%B8%AF%E7%8D%A8%E5%AE%B6-htc-one-m8-%E9%9F%B3%E8%B3%AA%E5%B0%88%E6%A5%AD%E5%88%86%E6%9E%90-v-s-galaxy-s5
But for my ears it seems lower. No difference to my old 3.45 ohm Galaxy S3.
My ue 900 run very well on my M8. On my Asus Phoebus soundcard, they run alittle worse (which has 10 ohm~)

I've contacted HTC through their live chat. The guy spent almost half an hour trying to find it's output impedance but he couldn't. He only told me he found on the internet that it's about 9ohms but it's not an official spec.
If I will get this phone, I will measure it myself and post here.
