HI All,

Grado Labs has announced and will be shipping soon a new very limited edition headphone made from a tree cut down in Brooklyn. It is local wood and the first in the Grado Heritage Series - the GH1.

You can now preorder yours here from TTVJAudio...  http://www.ttvjaudio.com/Grado_GH1_open_headphone_p/gra0001000.htm

Further discussion of this is happening in the Grado Fan Club thread. While this thread may be more appropriate, it's going to be discussed in both places if not more.

I want to know what (besides this wood) will differentiate this product from the others. For 650, I'd want 1/4" plug, adapter, extension cable, and storage box. I might bite then. Oh, and a reassurance that it doesn't sound like an RS1e....

That's a lot of dough given the top of the line RS1e is only $50 more. This just seems like another Grado hipster marketing stunt

HI All,

There will be more info and pictures soon. I know this has been vague so far but a lot more will be revealed in the coming weeks.

If we have to wait weeks for info, the entire run will have been bought up already. Makes it a gamble to preorder...

You are right about it being a gamble but i have full faith and trust in Grado Labs to deliver a product the meets or exceeds it price point. And of course if once the info is released you don't like what you see, then you can cancel your order with us. It is limited and I have a finite number of them that I can get.

I would like to know what level of drivers are going to be used ? To me this is, as much or more important than what tree the housings will be made from.
