My last understanding is that DIR9001 is one of the best with the lowest jitter. What about this Sabre SPDIF timing jitter ? Since it is done within the Sabre including the filtering, there is just lack of info how Sabre does this. can the Sabre filtering be upgraded ? say a better clocking using temrperature control clock ?

I would assume the NFB2 is the replacement for the dac-19. In the same way that the nfb-1 is priced equal to the non dsp reference 5 the nfb 2 price is equal to the non dsp dac-19.
The NFB1 is the cheapest built ess9018 dac on the market as far as I am aware.
The cheapest would have to be the Buffalo II I think. Now that price doesn't include case work, but I would suggest that it qualifies as being cheaper.
The Eastern Electric Minimax sell for $750 (£480) if you live in the US. The only UK retailer I could find sell it for £895 ( $1240) . They must be having a laugh...
I think you can get it for ~ the same price if you contact the guy who is selling it. See this thread: http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=72820.0

I asked the US importer (Morning Star Audio) about shipping the dac in UK, but he said to get in touch with the UK importer, he won't ship the dac in Europe.
But...the dac is available on ebay, from a French seller for about 590 euro.
I just found out that audiotube.de (official distributor in Europe) sell it for 680 Euro +15 for shipping. That still £600 in all, but a lot cheaper than Audioemotion in the UK.
While the new Audio-GD is very tempting it is quite a lot more expensive when ordered from the UK (postage +import tax). Plus the EE seems to have already received many raved reviews.
