Well, going through my late grandfathers stuff I found an old pair of Sennheisers HD40. They still sound great, but the yellow ear pads are definitly past it (from what I gather on this forum, this was a common problem with them).

Does anyone have a suggestion what to use to replace the ear pads? I'm not scared of a little work if needed.

Dunno 'bout Canada, but here in Germany one can still buy earpads - not the original yellow ones (#34658) any more, but grey ones (#77992).

I have these headphones and need new ear pads. Did you ever find them?
I'm in Denver. Any help would be appreciated.

I made my own new pads using some 9mm thick foam padding. They worked out very well.  These earphones are extremely clear!
