I recently just got my D2000's. They sound fantastic and met my expectations. I'm just a bit worried because I'm using my Onkyo receiver right now for listening and I hear slight crackle and popping as if were playing from vinyl. Is this normal for a new set of cans?

The volume isn't way up at all. Just normal listening volume. Have been playing dubstep for past 24hrs just to let them warm up. Loving how the headphones handle the bass wobble. Definitely hear the difference compared to my bose on ear headphones I use at work.

I've read on here and seen mods done to the D2000 in signatures. Anyone know all the possible mods for the cans and list them here? Thanks!

The mod people are refering to are the MarkL mods. Here is a link for a template as well which helped me out a ton.

The noise in the background could also mean that the gain is two high on the receiver you using with the headphones.

Thanks for the input! Going to try them on my other Sony receiver to make sure just in case.
