New denafrips DDC (Iris and Gaia)

Jay's CDT2-MK3
Nice player.
It's been a while but I'm pretty sure I didn't have glitches using optical or coax straight into the T2. But for me adding the GAIA and AES/EBU were both significant improvements and well worth the occasional glitch. JMO/YMMV and all that.
No connection point is ever worth a glitch. I don't do DSD, but when I found the L/R channels were swapped, I took pains to fix it. I could have easily said, leave it, I don't use DSD files, but I needed the entire unit to work correctly, not just the stuff I use. Anyway, the issue for me happened to be an I2S misconfiguration issue.

That said, have you looked at the I2S configuration between Terminator and Gaia? Also, because I have to ask.... you sure it's not the CD player itself. Swap connection points?

Yes . I do listen to DSD and have been through all the options a few times, most recently after the firmware upgrade (which did improve the situation). Also, no issue with USB.

It is a combination of the CD player AES/EBU output and DAC/DCC stack. What I know for sure is if I hear a glitch then back up the CD it is never reproducible. And I'm not willing to give up the advantages of AES/EBU and/or the GAIA to eliminate the glitches. In theory I could try a I2S connection between the CD player and T2, but I'd need a HDMI -> RJ45 cable and that seems like more trouble (and money) then it is worth.

Crossposted original. See this response in the Pontus thread.
Yes. Sorry very much, I didn't know where to post and I posted in both threads that could be affecting. Since it seems to be pontus 2 firmware related. Pls just ignore or delete or follow in the link above.
Thanks for the inputs and sorry for the confusion.

Your system. Mine were only suggestions.

Good luck.

Has anyone been able to connect a Holo dac (may, spring) to a denafrips DDC using I2S?

You have to match the Pin out from the iris to the holo. That’s where it starts using the Ethernet cable
