There is an exchange of L5-> L5pro going on in China, costing between 500RMB-1000RMB (Roughly 80USD - 160 USD) depending on L5's condition.
However exchanging the devices oversea can introduce additional costs such as shipping, so the exchange is currently only within China. I will update if there is an international exchange possible.

Yes, my L5 is suffering from that dreaded screen cancer.  Got mine from Penonaudio.

The oversea exchanges are most likely to be case by case scenario unless international re-seller like Penonaudio gets involved.

I would absolutely upgrade, I just got my L5 about a month ago and while I love it, it is having some issues

Any news on the exchange, I need it desperately my L5 is a month old and has some issues, I contacted Penaudio about it and they said they haven't heard about it.

I think the exchange is only happening with the chat group made of Chinese early LP users which gave feedbacks that helped the making of L5pro for now. It is no surprise that re-sellers didn't hear about it.
 
I hope I can work out some sort of international exchange for you guys.
