New $20K Ultrasone Volcano headphone amp

Are there any internal pictures?
From the German HiFi-Magazine AUDIO 9-2020, pg. 62:

Ultrasone-Volcano.jpg

The AUDIO-Magazine gave no details about the used components. But they gave twice the advice to buy the Volcano along with the Ultrasone Edition 15 Headphone since the Volcano is acoustically and optically optimized for the Edition 15 Headphone. In the AUDIO-ranking the Volcano got 145 out of 145 points - the same as the new T+A HA 200.

Don’t understand how they can sell it so expensively.
For this price I would take a Viva Egoista 845 every day, and I have spare cash to buy a Susvara : a combo that would kill Ultrasone so easily (and I still have some extra cash).

The rear of the Volcano states: "Handcrafted in Hungary". Nothing against that, they can deliver quality if it's required.

But: Ultrasone is a German company, located in Bavaria, so for $20K one would expect that the Amplifier is build in Germany at highest possible quality. Instead, they use the cheap wages & labour-costs of (according to Eurostat) only EUR 9.9 in Hungary while they're EUR 35.6 in Germany.

$20K - smells like maximum profit.

Please don't mock something without understanding the technology behind it

The cylindrical object is NOT a toroidal transformer.

It's actually a fully functional miniature alien spacecraft from the planet Astron 6. Apparently ultrasone is developing a much larger unit with a full size alien spacecraft as well. Both of them use cosmic radiation to modulate the sound in a way earthlings have never heard before.

Anyhoo, as you might imagine the sound is out-of-this-world as a result and most definitely worth the asking price as UFOs don't just fall out of the sky!

Woo Audio WA 33 elite looks so much more reasonably priced now...

It's crazy how those prices explode lately

Ultrasone could have paired their great design and build with better sound to get back into the market again as during their Edition and Signature days. Could have connected with their fans and gotten proper feedback. Their headphone announcements used to get a good amount of interest. Nowadays there's nothing.

Instead they are delivering a 20 000€ Wurschdsalat for a headphone nobody talks about because it left no imprint.

I don't know if this 20 000€ amp is a genius scam or a bold troll move.

I think they are actually being very serious and AUDIO is helping them get their point across. These magazines have no shame and Ultrasone has learned absolutely nothing from the recent years.

Their strong disconnect from the community has basically led to this situation. A 3k headphone nobody cares about because it simply doesn't compete except for deaf people from AUDIO and an amp that looks like something I'd be buying during an Aliexpress shopping spree madness with a cart full of leather pads, mounting rings and funny triad style tshirts which I give away as presents to troll customers.

Instead it's priced 20k so they can afford the life time warranty and they brag about it too. They are laughing all the way to the bank.

Here's the review btw, just read it for once. It's hilarious.

Here is the inside of my glorious headphone amp Flux FA-10 (pure class A, 2x16w @32 ohm). Oh I forgot its price, 749$.
