Any suggestions from experienced members?
Which of those come closest to tell you the truth?
SR-007, SR-009, SR-4070, Qualia Q010, HD800, T1, HP1000, K1000, LCD2/3, HE6,
UERMs, Hidition NT-6

Out of the stuff I know:

SR-007 Mk1: reasonably neutral and flat through the mids, the deep bass is down a few decibels and upper mid/treble is down a few more decibels save for a narrow spike at 10khz. Overall they're somewhat warmish with highs that are soft and sparkly at the same time. Not quite neutral, but pretty close to neutral.

SR-007 Mk2 (SZ2 serials): kinda like the Mk1, but with more upper midrange and midbass, and less treble extension. Less neutral, but still reasonably accurate.

K1000: I haven't spent too much time with it but it's got some broad emphasis in the highs and deep bass is MIA, otherwise it's relatively linear.

Qualia 010: There's something strange going on in the mids there, the midrange tone is noticeably wrong. Otherwise, a fairly well-balanced and even-handed headphone.

On paper at least, the 009 looks to be the most neutral of them all, but I haven't seen measurements for everything (which you can find here). The 007 is pretty close to neutral too.

If you want totally flat, flat speakers in an acoustically-treated room are your only choice.

I will highly recommend the Grado PS1000, it's neutral, natural and highly detailed with wide soundstage and instruments, voices (vocals) sound so good on it. The other headphones like T1, HE-6, LCD-3 and IEMs like UERM, JH13Pro are very detailed in all frequency response.

i would like to listen to the 009s more but from the brief listening i would put them on the top spot followed very closely by the 02MK1. The O2mk1 comes off a little warm in comparison to the 009. Observed this on both the Blue Hawaii and the Liquid Lightning. 
 
As for the others, there are other headphones??? why even bother

It is hard to say, especially considering the wide variety of equipment required to get the most ideal, or neutral result. Debatably, the 009s or maybe the 4070s.

The PS1000s have to one of the LEAST neutral. Studio-grade custom IEMs though would be close I reckon.

Amen. Elitist as it sounds, high-end 'stats have a way of making you stop caring about other headphones pretty quickly.

Agreed..albeit am not speaking form a stance of elitism, rather from experiencing pretty much all the way down from a Koss KSC 75 to the LCD-3 and SOny MDR1 , K1000 and L3K.
 
THe only other 'headphone' i w ould consider apart form the O2mk1 and the 009s are the JH13 pros. I haven't heard the UERM. But the JH13s are about as close as it gets in the portable world to sheer bliss that the O2mk1 and 009 are capable of .

I haven't heard everything since I'm relatively new to Head-fi but I find that the LCD-3 and Stax 007.2 headphones do tonality really well and sound at least as natural as my much more expensive speaker rig.

009s are, IMO, the most neutral, followed by HE90s. For listening enjoyment, I prefer my 007 mk1s, though. They sound the most organic/natural to me.

After owning and hearing the K-01, I believe the source plays a massive part in improving the SQ of any headphone.

I'd like to throw a slightly lesser known (but certainly deserving of mention) phone in the ring : LFF's beautifully modded T50RP: The Paradox.  Admittedly, I haven't spent a lot of time with Stax gear being bandied about.. but I've heard the likes of the LCD-2, HE-6, HD800, etc. with amps and sources worthy of their fantastic potential.. of them, the Paradox is the most neutral phone I've ever heard.
 
Purrin's measured it and came away pretty amazed at the neutrality.. and it took second in Tyll's competition (I want a recount! lol).
 
Anyways, I highly recommend getting in touch with LFF & checking it out!

TH900s, 009s, HD800s, LCD3s are all realistic sounding with the right upstream food chain.
Can't say the same for any other phones I've heard (never heard bass heavy R10s).
