BUT! Have you guys heard about the quad era-1? No big youtubers talk about it, while I love it, it's one of my favs. And I heard it on an event I organized 5 years ago, and a dude brought it who at the time mostly lived in England. I fell in love with it's sound then. And it was the same pair I happened to buy a year ago. It's wild. If it wasn't for that topic in our local forum, I wouldn't even have heard about it...
Fog City Audio made this dongle adapter for me to use with my NDH 20 headphones. I asked for 3 pin male mini XLR so I could use some existing custom cables that I have for my AKG 271 MKii headphones. The wiring is made with Cardas wire.

Comparing other headphones with the NDH 30...
Well, the ND30 30 outperforms them all, at least in the category up to USD 800.
I am a very nosy person, and I would like to try a lot of other headphones what is just not possible and too expensive.
But I compared the NDH30 to the Audeze MM-100 and the Audeze LCD 2 classic last week.
The good news: I don't have to buy new headphones; my bank account is grateful for that.
Ok, the MM-100 and the LCD 2 classic are both particularly good headphones.
But they don't have the clarity, the clean sound, the instrument separation, and soundstage of the NDH 30.
Is this just my bias towards the NDH 30 or does this coincide with your experiences?
Everyone has their own priorities and taste. And everyone is biased.
I know someone who bought an ndh30, sold his he6sev2, while someone else did the opposite. Who's to say one is a better hp than the other?
I didn't like the he6sev2 that much either, while loved the ndh30.
Also, just look at THS's tierlist... vid For example hd600 and 650 in A tier, while ndh30 in C, like What. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
