Please help me find a can for MOSTLY home use, or maybe sometimes bring it to other places

I realized that if I use HP instead of LOUD speakers at home, I will disturb nobody, have good sounds at whatever volume I like without disturbing others..

So, here is what I prefer:

- Must be CLOSED, and can provide great isolation
- Must be very comfortable for long usage, like I can wear it the whole day..
- Must NOT need amplifier to work at best.. I don't wish to spend money on buying an amp..
- Better if it has long cable..
- Must have superb bass, at least better than my IE8
- I will be using it for movies, music, games..
- I will be connecting it to my PC..
- If I bring it to other places, it will be connected to my Cowon S9, or if really needed, w/ FiiO E5 too.

Price must be less than $250 for brand new..

Beyer DT250 ticks all your boxes.

Superb bass is in the ear of the beholder.

I think so. But M50 is flavour of the month here, and the DT250 isn't sexy...

the length of the cable of ie8 is not good for me for home use..

hd 25, but how do you expect to get BETTEr bass than the IE8?

Denon D2000's sound like they would fit almost all of these criteria
They are very comfortable.
Great bass.
Closed.
Easy to drive, low impedance.
and finally under 250 new.

See if you can't find a (non-counterfeit, so it will have to be second-hand) pair of Audio Technica ESW9. I sometimes wish I'd known about them when I joined Head-fi and just bought a pair. Would have stopped me wanting to upgrade a lot longer than everything else did! You can probably find a pair within your budget. They drive easy and sound great with all types of music.

I am not sure about the amp question (some say an amp is a must, others no), but the HD 25's are really nice, at leat for me. If you try them, get the ones with the split headband. They may feel like they are clamped a bit too tightly to your head at times but this is adjustable for the most part and you will get used to it.

PS: You may need a cable extension. Mine feels short at times.

I've read a lot of comments on the HD25s. I think ESW9 is cool, but i have not tried them yet. Thanks for the suggestions.
