Those with efficient speakers (e.g. Fostex, Lowther, maybe some horns or field coils) will sound terrific.

Any thoughts on how they would play together?

If you are going with small tube amps, you will need high efficiency speakers. The Paradigms are around 90db, which should be ok, depending on your listening environment. You might want to put the Coincident Triumph on your short list. They are very efficient speakers with 94db sensitivity, and they are designed with tube amps in mind. They aren't cheap but you can grab a used pair for half of the retail price.

Don't buy speakers based on what you read, buy them based on what you hear.

GO to a store, and listen to some combos.

Absolutely! Agree 100%! Take the recommendations and then go listen to them. You will be surprise that you might have completely opposite opinion on some of them. I would recommend Dali speakers with Nad amp. My set up is Dali Suite 2.8 with Nad c320bee. IMO Dali > B&W.
