I know these are not the optimal pair of cans. The bass is a little heavy. I think my little cheapo dac is not enough to bring these to their full potential though. Using Roland UA-1G and at max volume I get slight hiss. I'm newb to audiophile-ism so please be gentle. I'd be willing to spend at least 200 on a new DAC/AMP if it's worth it. I game occasionally but game audio isn't more important then music audio for me. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

You don't need an amp with those. And a good DAC would work just fine.....don't stress about amping them... good luck
