Fellow Head-Fiers,
As there seems to be a huge collective music memory and interest here on the forum I turn to you for some help.
Lately I've been strugeling with an increasing boredom in my normal listening habbits.
Trying to find a stimulating solution I turned to some Jazz (at least in that direction...) and found a few things I really like:
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue, escpecially the track All Blues
Chuck Mangione - Feels so good
and last week I stumbled over Portico Quartet - Knee-Deep in the North Sea.
I did not take long before Portico Quartet had blown me away, and over the last week I've been consumed by
discovering all their pieces.
Before I ask for your recommendations I must state that I do not expect to find anything very similar to Portico Quartet, their sound seems to be quite unique.
Be that as it may, I would really appreciate some tips of music reminiscent of Portico Quartet, or some Jazz piece that you think might be a good next step.
So please open your mind and post a recommendation!
(Yes I have searched the forum and found very little about Portico Quartet so I decided to start a new thread)
