I went from Signal Cable Analog Two ICs to Kimber Kable Heros and have never looked back. The Heros seem to pair well with my gear. Less sibilance and better bass all around.

Look at Moon Audio Black Dragon ICs as well. I use the BD for my mini to mini and absolutely love the sound.

Grover just came out with his new UR8. It costs about half your $100/ft guideline. Very nice sounding indeed, but not very flexible
