My friend wants these UrbanOutfitters.com > Stiloso Headphones by Boosted soley for the look of them. I want to get her a better pair because I have a feeling those probably sound like crap. Her only requests are that they look vintage such as those and include the adapters so she can plug into her amp.

just buy some real panasonics; they look the same, sound great and are quite cheap.

The Panasonic RP-HTX7 look very similar and will probably sound better. I think there's a review on them elsewhere in this forum.

Grados look vintage too, but in a different way. Not sure your friend will like their looks too, but I agree that their sound should be better.

For great sound, go for the AKG K240, the only problem is they aren't very efficient and need bit of extra power to run. Grado SR60's are probably the best option if she doesn't have the power to run the AKGs.

I love the Grado look, but second the Panasonics. They're not too pricey either.

Go for the Grado SR-60. Retro styling and great sound. I've given several pairs as gifts and they go over great.

For a couple bucks more a set of Alessandro MS-1 gives the Grado looks without the Grado ID Buttons and perhaps adds a bit more neutral sound. Order them with the 1/8" plug and the 1/4" adapter is included.
