So just to introduce myself, I'm a engineering noob and just started the spirit of DIY'ing - majoring in arts so have no training whatsoever. Anyway, I can't read schemetics or a PCB yet.. So spare me from the grilling, I have no clue.
CD DAC Lampucera lampizator
I wish to start this project because of the infinite possibility.
I have gathered some information while going around my listening sessions at audio shops.
My understanding is that DAC implementation adds very little coloration to the sound as compared to the opamp and Caps?
How does the buffer help with the power to the dac chip from the transformer?
Does it clean up the sound for noise or prevent sudden spikes from the house electrical plug?
And lastly I've read about toroidal transformer, is it more advisable to use that compared normal ones for audio projects?
Thanks!
