Recently picking up an SA6; I have come to find the headphone jack on all of the laptops I use at work very... lacking.

Not needed amping as SA6 is easy to drive; but a simple dac; I have found from searching these forums this to be a difficult task to say the least, much harder than amp or headphone selection.

My needs:
USB
Linux Suport(nearly everything seems to be)
Relatively cheap.(<200usd preferably)
Self Powered (via usb or walwart)
Prefer:
Small (will sit on desk at work; I may bring it home periodically)

What I see that has me tempted:
iBasso D2 Boa (165usd)
HeadRoom Total BitHead (159usd)

I am leaning toward the D2 now I think; but is there anything else I should be considering? I listen to just about everything; and majority of listening will be laptop -> dac -> SA6 (dac more important than amp).

Thanks in advance for any help.

Those were the two things I was going to suggest anyway.

Of those, I'd take the Boa just because it doesn't look like it was designed by a blind man.

I wonder if something cheaper like an M-Audio Transit USB would be enough...
