Strong bass, full lower-mids, recessed upper-mids and treble. As little resonance as possible
Looked it up, too expensive. Thanks for recommind though.Used Denon AH-D5200 might be in budget?
Funny that you just mentioned the Meze 99. When I saw this^ description I immediately thought of the Drop+Meze 99 Noir. Drop has them in stock and ready to ship for $200. I've seen them pop up used here on on r/AVExchange for $150-ish.Strong bass, full lower-mids, recessed upper-mids and treble. As little resonance as possible

Have you heard Meze 99?
Where did you read that ? Link please.I’ve read the Meze 99 has a rough/hard texture in the upper-mids/lower treble, despite being recessed in those areas... What is your guys opinion on this?
How mould the M1060C compare in that regard?
That slice of the spectrum never came off as such to me. I perceive them as more veiled than Sennheiser headphones; there's no grit or glitter in the upper-mids/lower-treble. They have a very accessible sound.I’ve read the Meze 99 has a rough/hard texture in the upper-mids/lower treble, despite being recessed in those areas... What is your guys opinion on this?

Yep listening to some Sublime as they do great mids and don’t hear any rough or “ hard” mids. That slice of the spectrum never came off as such to me.
