Hey guys
so I first bought one of these(http://www.ebay.com/itm/320659633166?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_1010wt_1165) thinking the 12au7 pin layout was the same as the 6cg7 layout but its not. 6cg7 has a 9AJ base while the 12au7 is a 9A base. The difference is heater wire to pin 4+5 and 9 on the 12au7. I can connect 5 and 4 with two going to pin 4 and connect 9 to pin 5.
so I have one of these and was thinking why not just turn it into a 12au7 to 6cg7 adapter? I found this one ebay as one but its way to expensive

I already have one of these that is easy to take apart:

Im a little confused on how to change it to work. I have a 6sn7 to 12au7 adapter. I need to change 12au7 to 6cg7 where the 6cg7 will go into my amp. to go from 12au7 to 6gf7 I need to run pin 5 to pin 4 (two on pin 4 then) and pin 9 to pin 5 to be able to have the correct heating. How can I do this with my adapter? Seems easy question im just over thinking it. The tube saver has the 9 pin female parts little nubs to connect to sodierd to rods that just go through the piece. Im thinking im going to need some wires?
thanks for your help!!!!
