Really? Huh.

I've heard a lot of good things about the HD600, I need to try one sometime...

For sure! I have owned both and I much prefer the HD600. They just seem to do everything right.

Comfort level is not even close. Grados will have your ears bleeding in an hour or less. The 600's I can wear for hours and simply forget that they are on my head. The 325's will be a very bright can, but are also very capable with the proper amp/source, or if you had to run them directly out of a player sans amp. But I can say this, the RS2 does not sound very good out of the Hornet, the 600's sing!

You already have an amp that is a match for the 600's, half your battle is over.

with 600 don't bother with any bitrate mp3, stick to lossless. Even 320kps sounds a bit tishy on the top end, and a bit bloated on the low end.
Grado RS-1 will be good for you music tastes, but are several times more expensive than 600's

Personally I wouldn't really call HD600 a "fun" headphone, I think it's too smooth and laid back. I had grado SR60i and not 325s, but for "fun" I think I would gravitate more toward grados. The SR60s were definitely fun, just a little too midrangy for me. The 600s are pretty comfortable, but be aware that they really clamp your head!

the sr325 and k701/2's are too "love it or hate it".

since you're not auditioning them before purchasing, the hd600 would probably be the safest bet. personally i slightly prefer the k701/702's for vocal and acoustic.

Well, people are of varying opinion on that. My Ipod only contains Lossles music. Most of it WAV or Apple Lossless. I would go no lower than 320 on my mp3's but some people say 192 is just fine. I will say this, garbage in, garbage out and that will become painfuly evident with a revealing headphone such as the HD600.

Sorry about your wallet!

Yes, 600s can be a bit more comfy, but i didn't find the 650s uncomfortable. It was the overall sound that made me keep the 600s. On the other hand the 600s demand a lot of current and usually portable amps don´t really excel here...

So you guys ripping the song from CD? like from itune store, I can hardly find 320kbps or better like lossless..only several of my MP3 40% is 320 kbps, the others just like 192kbps...

is the only is to buy CD and rip it?

but i read from RSA website, that P51 mustang can give twice as much current as RSA predator...maybe current is not the problem..i'm worried about the battery life

I'm glad you used the word "usually" becuase the RSA portables do very well with the HD600. As I said, Ray Samuels uses the HD600 to design, then test his portable amps.
