Hello all, first post here.

Have read lots of reviews on Head Fi but can't make up my mind about which pair of headphones to get.

I'm looking for a pair of over-the-ears in the price range between $300 and $800, but they'd have to be pretty amazing for me to consider something close to $800.

I currently own:

Audio ATH-M50
Beyerdynamic Custom One Pros
Bose QC15
Sennheiser PXC 310 BT
Beats Pro Detox Ed. (I know, I know...)
Klipsch S4i
Martin Logan Mikros 70
Bowers and Wilkins C5
Bose MIE2i
Logitech UE900

So. I want something like the Logitech UE900 equivalent of over-the-ears.

I'm expecting to use these with an amplifier, I currently have the Fiio E07K and I will probably get the E09K in the near future.

I listen to mostly R&B and other bass heavy music, so I want something more bass heavy but also good for vocals.

I currently mostly use the Custom One Pros.

also I have a massive head lol.

thanks in advance.

I'm assuming you mean FiiO E09K, not D09K.
Did the headphones need to be while traveling or just home/office use.

My best headphone, that would easy work plugged into a E07K, is the Audio Technica ATH-W1000X.
As the ATH-W1000X is only 40-Ohms, there would be no reason to get the E09K.

The bid for this ATH-W1000X on eBay, is currently at $300.

not likely to use this at home a lot as I would be using speakers.
does the 1000x come with a 3 meter cable? is that replaceable?
and yes, the E09k

The ATH-W1000X does come with about a 3 meter cable, but I myself would never use them for traveling.
To much of a chance of them getting stolen or damged.
I travel with my $70 HA-S680s

The Schiit Magni headphone amplifier might be a better choice, over the E09K, as the Magni comes with a much lower (>1-Ohm) impedance :)
Better for 16-Ohm headphones like the COPS.
