I think the big difference is with the PSBs you only got the "Room Feel" feature when using the amp. With the NADs they are passive so it will be there no matter what.

In this case, I'll trust PSB who made the headphones. Here's a quote from their specs from their site:
http://www.psbspeakers.com/products/headphones/M4U-1-Headphones
" The latest M4U addition is the M4U 1 Over-Ear Headphone, which offers our Room Feel™ technology and the same musicality of our award-winning M4U 2 Active Noise Cancelling Headphones, but without amplification or noise cancelling."

Looks interesting, no doubt they will sound good, but I wonder about the price compared to the PSB headphones, if they are cheaper, I may consider

I believe MSRP was pointed out as $279 in an article. So just south of PSB M4U-1 (without the NC). Wonder what the reason for that pricing is.

I'd love to get a hold of these and have a listen. They look great.

They are already in stock several places in Europe, so it seems:

very strange... the headphones have been available for a couple of weeks (if not months) but still not many reviews available...........

The credentials of Paul Barton and the reviews of the PSB M4U 1 and 2 headphones make me very curious and eager to have a listen to these cans...

The only, to an extent, negative reviews I have read on the PSB cans were from Tyll of innerfidelity.

Difficult to check these headphones out as no dealers around my area seem to have them. :frowning2:

They're not available in the US yet.
