I dunno... I can't say that I've seen too many that look better than the K701, but I definitely like them more than the 601.

And I'd consider the 601 pretty snazzy too.

Didn't think anyone else but the Brits would recognise it.

to my opinion is much better compared to my previously owned HD 650. I do use the K701 for about two weeks now and I really love its richness in detail and definition in sound. Well the base sometimes is still a bit weak compared to the HD 650, but I think that will improve.

I read in that forum that the K701 is much dependant on the amp one uses. I tried it with my HeadCode and the Pocket Reference 2, both from Larocco Audio and both perform great together with the K701.

Can you please post your impressions with Ipod and SR-71? I have exactly the same setup but I am using Hd650+zu instead. I would be interested to know how the amp pairs with the phones and what are the differences in sound if you have any Sennheisser experience.
