I like to test all my headphone/canalphones and have a fav music list. I love tight controlled bass with good detail.

So here it is:

Here are some youtube links of the above mentioned tracks. The sound quality is not always the best.

No Asa Broomhall sorry - but check him out on iTunes - Excellent low frequencies in the bass line.

What are your favorite music test list?

Any other suggestions for good recordings? I'd like to always improve on my list.

If you want to test some sub-bass...the best track I've found for that recently is Ludacris - How Low Can You Go...if a headphone can smack you upside the head, this is the track to do it with.

Maybe not your style, but if you want to really test your source, amp, and phones, turn this up and listen carefully between 0:28-0:37 (or 1:30+) - all those sounds you're barely hearing?  Those should be coming through loud and clear.

Awwww yeah. That's awesome. My Turbine Golds are going crazy. Probably intruding on the mids, but I don't give a care.

I usually listen to some Lil Wayne for bass, or any sorta dubstep, but this is amazing.

HD800's for eye shaking bass... interesting, honestly, even from my quads, I have never heard bass to the point of eyeshaking

Basstronics - Bass I love you http://dc177.4shared.com/img/465306180/77ba1a71/dlink__2Fdownload_2F1Yrl1eNg_3Ftsid_3D20110517-23153-f7609a30/preview.mp3

I like bass I feel more than I hear, something XB500 does particularly well xD. This song has short maybe 15~20Hz centered bass notes and I barely hear them as I've tested with sample notes and heard down to ~15Hz and this sounds the same but I feel them tickling my ears a lot more in comparision to being audible which is a quite weird experience and it's difficult to find equipment capable of producing those at/below your hearing capability frequencies loud and clean enough.
