Hey all,
So I got a little carried away modding my SR125s, and here are the results.

Its alot easier to store them and carry them.

Also I think it looks cool.

yeah, I used a jig saw and a off-brand dremmel.

I still need to do some work on them though to improve teh bass

Well done Junkie! That detach mod looks pretty sweet, maybe if I get off my lazy rear-end I'll do the same!

I'd guess just friction, but one idea I found rather useful was to put a strip of felt along the inside edge of the c-pad adapter. In my case, the c-pad adapter I bought was too big for any Prestige series Grado can to fit it. The felt provided enough frictional force to hold it securely in place, and it is soft because I was afraid that the wood would screw up the plastic driver cups. Here's some pictures to better explain. It works good enough for me, and I have zero complaints considering all I paid was $10 (for shipping) for the "too big" c-pad adapters and like $0.95 for a piece of black sticky backed felt. Just a thought
